Opportunities
Find out about our opportunities from our past volunteers!
Bridget Moynihan she/her As Treasurer of ASUS, I work alongside the Vice-President to manage the $900 000+ ASUS budget. This includes keeping track of all revenue and expenditure of all the ASUS clubs and DSCs. I love volunteering with ASUS because I constantly get to meet and interact with so many lovely people. As well, volunteering has given me many transferable skills that I can apply to future opportunities.
Sara Stephens she/her As the Chief Archivist, I work in the Governance Office and the University Archives to maintain and catalogue ASUS's Archive collection. I also work to showcase the material to the student body through outreach initiatives. I enjoy volunteering for ASUS as I have had the chance to meet so many amazing people and expand my university experience beyond my academic program. Through this position, I have enjoyed being able to work creatively and also the ability to build relationships both within ASUS and with staff at the University Archives.
Rebecca Anderson she/her As a Co-Chair for Research and Recommendation, my team and I work to gather and raise attention to voices of the student body in relation to an equity issue faced daily on campus. My volunteer work with ASUS has given me such an amazing opportunity to meet passionate and enthusiastic peers, dedicated to making campus a better place for all. Through my work with ASUS, I have learned so much about myself and about the Queen's community around me.
Zach Galvani he/him As the Governance Office Intern, I work with the Governance Officer to learn more about and get involved with ASUS Elections, Policy, and Archives. I've enjoyed volunteering with ASUS as it's provided me with the opportunity to meet and collaborate with so many amazing people in different years and programs who I otherwise wouldn't have been able to meet. My experiences at ASUS have allowed me to spend my time outside the classroom in a manner that is productive and exciting.
Kayla Melbourne she/her As a graphics director, I work in the marketing office to produce graphics to advertise and promote all of the amazing events happening within the amazing commissions and offices that we have here in ASUS. I've also been involved in the Equity Commission, the Governance Office, Orientation Week, as well as the Services Commission where I've been able to have so many amazing experiences that have helped me in developing my leadership and organization skills as well as meet some of my closest friends to this day! I'd strongly recommend getting involved as it's been the highlight of my undergraduate experience!
