Human Resources Office
The Human Resources Office works to maintain the highest quality of volunteer and employee experience by creating and updating policy to maintain the equity and transparency of hiring practices. The Human Resources Office maintains records of all volunteer information and positions that need to be filled within the society. The Human Resources Office appreciates volunteers monthly through a recognition program and at the end of the year with the annual Volunteer Appreciation Gala.
The Human Resources Office is responsible for managing a broad portfolio that includes conflict resolution, hiring and interviewing oversight, training, and volunteer appreciation. Although directly accountable to the President, the HRO exercises strict confidentiality with any matter brought to their attention. Through consultation with other Faculty Societies, the Office seeks to act as a resource for all Arts and Science students for topics such as conflict resolution, equitable hiring and to continue to monitor and improve organizational behaviour.

Director of Training and Analytics
The Director of Training and Analytics plays a significant role in organizing and facilitating the volunteer training and will help to facilitate Hiring Training that occurs throughout the year. This Director is responsible for collecting valuable and important internal feedback after ASUS events from attendees that will serve as a vehicle for ASUS to analyze how its events can be improved to enhance the student experience and increase student engagement.
Deputy Human Resources Officer (Talent Acquisition)
The Talent Acquisition Deputy works closely with the Human Resources Officer in organizing recruitment events and initiatives, generating a semesterly hiring report and recruiting new talent into the society.
Deputy Human Resources Officer (Volunteer Appreciation)
The Volunteer Appreciation Deputy works closely with the Human Resources Officer in organizing recruitment events and initiatives, facilitating the volunteer of the month programs, volunteer satisfaction survey and planning the end of year volunteer appreciation gala.
Director of Workforce Development
The Director of Workforce Development plays a critical role in enhancing the organization's human resources initiatives. Key responsibilities include organizing professional development events, providing support to the Human Resources Officer (HRO), reviewing and editing job descriptions to ensure clarity and compliance, approving interview questions to maintain a high standard of candidate evaluation, & managing the closure of job positions.
