ASUS 134
Continuing to Improve your Experience
ASUS has come a long way since 1890. You might know us from many incredible parts of the Arts and Science student experience – ASUS Orientation, Arts & Science formal, Department Student Councils (DSCs), Queen’s Equity Conference, Supper Series, ASURF, and Life After ArtSci.
We now have seven Commissions and Offices – Academics, Equity, Human Resources, Marketing, Governance, Community Outreach, and Services. We bring dogs to campus, leather jackets to the backs of Queen’s students, mentors to first-year students, and a hot meals to attendees of Good Times Diner. We have over 700 volunteer opportunities annually, and a strong and passionate community behind us.

What You Need to Know
The Arts and Science Undergraduate Society (ASUS) is integral to fostering a vibrant, inclusive, and equitable community at Queen’s University. ASUS provides students with leadership opportunities, meaningful experiences, and support through its diverse portfolio of services, clubs, and initiatives. To maintain this standard and meet competitive industry benchmarks, we propose an increase in the ASUS Membership Fee. This increase will allow us to enhance financial recognition for students' contributions and protect the accessibility and quality of the student experience. A stronger ASUS will mean a stronger Faculty of Arts and Science, better student experience, more prepared alumni, more accountable Faculty, and better services for students. We propose a fee increase of $6.12. This increase will support the 13,072 students represented by ASUS and ensuring that we can continue to provide our diverse range of services to students.
Vote yes to the ASUS Membership Fee increase on January 29th and 30th!
