FINANCES

2010-2011:

In the previous academic year, the BOD began with an operating budget of $120,511.00 (as stated in a Banking Statement on August 13, 2010). In addition, the BOD received another $57,288.15 (the 90% payment of the opt-outable fee) at the beginning of the year, and $13,659.78 (the 10% remaining payment) at the end of the year. This meant that the BOD had a total operating budget of $191,458.93 dollars in the 2010-2011 Academic year.

The expenditures for the Renovation of the Red Room in the same academic year went as follows:

December, 2010: The ASUS Board of Directors approves $13,528 of expenses to go towards the renovation of the Red Room as outlined in the Red Room Renovation Proposal.

January, 2011: The ASUS Board of Directors approves $27,011.47 of expenses to go towards the purchase of furniture, tables and security, as outlined in the Red Room Lounge Proposal.

March, 2011: The ASUS Board of Directors approves a discretionary fund of $2,000 for the purchase of frames and blinds.

This left the BOD with a balance of $148,919.46 in May 1, 2011.
