Departmental Student Councils
Departmental Student Councils exists in every department in the Faculty of Arts and Science. Each Departmental Student Council has 2 Co-Chairs who attend monthly DSC Assemblies and submit Strategic Plans, Budgets and Constitutions to the Academics Commissioner at the beginning of the year. The goal of DSCs is to bridge the gap between professors and students and generally raise solidarity amongst members of their departments by planning events, selling departmental clothing, holding information sessions, etc. Every year ASUS allocates 6% of its student-fee revenue to DSCs to help them realize their events.
